Diamond Cut Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

Restore the crisp, bright machined face that gives diamond cut wheels their distinctive premium appearance.

02 Specialist service ๐Ÿ’Ž Condition-led assessment Based in Barnsley

SERVICE OVERVIEW

The right finish starts with the right assessment.

Diamond cut alloy wheels combine painted areas with a finely machined metal face. When lacquer fails, corrosion develops or the face becomes marked, the contrast and clarity that define the wheel can quickly disappear. Our diamond cutting service is built around careful assessment, accurate preparation and a refined final presentation.

The wheel is stripped and prepared before a controlled layer is machined from the face using specialist equipment. The wheel is then protected with a suitable clear finish. Because each cut removes material, suitability must always be assessed rather than assumed.

WHY CHOOSE THIS SERVICE

Built around quality, clarity and the final result.

Every recommendation is made with the wheel condition and intended outcome in mind. Suitability is confirmed before work proceeds.

01

Authentic machined finish

The process recreates the fine lines and bright metal detail associated with a genuine diamond cut wheel.

02

Full-process refurbishment

The result depends on the preparation beneath the face, not simply the final machine pass.

03

Suitability assessed first

We consider previous cuts, damage and wheel condition before recommending another diamond cut cycle.

THE PROCESS

Old coatings and corrosion are removed before the base colour and surface are prepared.

03

Precision cutting

A controlled amount of material is removed to reveal the bright machined face and fine cut pattern.

04

Protective clear finish

The wheel is cleaned, protected and inspected for consistency before completion.

SERVICE FAQ

Diamond Cutting questions, answered clearly.

These answers provide general guidance. Photographs and physical inspection may still be needed before suitability, timing or price can be confirmed.

Ask about your wheels โ†’
What is a diamond cut alloy wheel?

It has a painted base with a bright machined face, usually showing very fine concentric lines beneath a clear protective finish.

Can every diamond cut wheel be cut again?

No. Previous cuts, wheel design, face depth, corrosion and damage all affect suitability. We inspect the wheel before confirming the process.

Why does diamond cut lacquer sometimes corrode?

Stone chips, kerb damage and breaks in the clear coat can allow moisture beneath the lacquer, creating cloudy or milky areas.

Is powder coating more durable than diamond cutting?

A single-colour powder coated finish is often chosen where durability and easier future maintenance are the priority. Diamond cutting is selected for its distinctive machined appearance.

Can the colour behind the diamond cut face be changed?

Often, yes. The base colour can be discussed during the quote, subject to wheel design and the finish you want to achieve.
